Christmas House Party – Orchard Scotts Residence
Yesterday was Christmas and I really had fun last night with Zoe, Caecilia, Luis, Daniel and many more others at the Orchard Scotts Residence which we rented for X’mas celebration.
I had already anticipated that it will be another drinking session there with Zoe already preparing us beforehand with promises of giving out plastic bags as door gifts for us to puke. Lol.. that’s really thoughtful of her not to mess up the room.
Well, Luis as the usual nice guy, came to fetch us (Daniel, Caecilia, Me, Phyills and her bf) at around 11 but by the time we reached orchard, the road was jammed… At one moment in time, we thought we’re going to celebrate our X’mas in the car trapped in the Orchard road. But Luis as usual “cutting lane” king did some stunts and we’re able to make it in time to the place.
I remembered that the room was really beautiful, almost like a hotel setting with the exception of a kitchen. It have 2 rooms – a master and a guest. Saw some new faces that are friends of Zoe’s and her brother. Saw a shisha which they’re smoking and plenty of vodkas on the table. Well, one more from me too :p hahaha
As soon as we popped those party poppers at the stroke of midnight, the “real” drinking starts…. Zoe went around asking us to drink and bottoms up with wine, vodkas, or some other hard liquors which I can’t really remember. Unfortunately, I was also one of her targets… haha. Well, we had good fun, drinking, talking, basically just enjoying ourselves and the night.
But I guessed I really had too much of a drink last night… was really a horrible feeling… gotten a hangover this morning and can’t really recalled what happened after I plonked down onto the bed… hahaha… it’s like some lost memories that I won’t be able to recall no matter what. Had my fair share of hugging the toilet bowl and puking… phew… coming to think of it… that’s really gross… luckily it wasn’t captured on candid camera by Zoe. So people, don’t drink too much. It’s really a “not so good” feeling…
Well, anyway really had fun and it was my first time attending a house party with such great company! Really appreciate them as my friends :D
Wait! I’ve got some photos taken by Zoe
Okie… gotta rest my head (still groggy… @_@) now…. ciao…

Agapella Performance
Richard invited me again to his church which invited the group from Agapella to perform accapella songs. It was really a great event with the group singing. It’s been some time since I heard an accapella group performing already and it was really refreshing.
It’s really nice of Richard to invite me time and again, especially during the Christmas period. Really appreciate it.
Well, for those of you who wants to check out the Agapella group, here’s their website.

X’mas Celebration at My Boss’s Place
Our boss, Bernard, invited us to his house for a Christmas gathering and celebration together with his church friends. I took quite some time to decide whether to go or not because I was thinking about the people whom I will be meeting. I guess most of them I won’t even be able to get to know them since it’s like a one meeting kind of session as I’ll be leaving PowerSeraya soon.
So caught a lift from one of my colleagues and went down there. Made a discover about GPS, it’s really helping drivers to get around places but I was thinking what if it wasn’t working… I wouldn’t be able to know what’s the route to take anymore. So good for being helpful I guess…still got the cons of it.
Reached there and was talking about work still… well, saw two golden retrievers that my boss had. But suddenly at one point of time, the really noisy one went out of the gate and bit another dog! Then Bernard rushed out and spanked the dog… well, that’s what you get for being a bad dog…
Had great food which Bernard’s wife cooked like the mashed potatoes with some spicy meat in it and there’s also the chicken stew which was really fantastic! :D
It was a great house with 3 storeys, just opposite kovan mrt, with a small patch of garden, some trees even and also a swinging bench. The whole decoration was really good and unique.

FTP 2
For the last 3 days, it was a really jam packed day. I was being feed with a huge load of info from the trainers themselves.
It was really taxing on my brain but I know that I needed to learn all these stuff very well in order to transit into my next career smoothly. Hmm… on the hindsight.. “very well” seems like an understatement. I needed to internalize all their teachings before I even meet up with my first potential client.
Now then I realized the real importance of training. (Only applicable to mental aspect and not physical aspect in this context) Training is a key element of anyone who wants improvement in their life. Knowledge is power. But I feel that to really internalize and apply the knowledge in your life then it’s really powerful.
After these 3 days, I realized that next year will be a challenging one but definitely a much more fruitful and fulfilling one than 2008. I am really looking forward to this next career in less than 3 weeks time.

The Office Hour
The clock showing 4.52pm, dated 10.12.2008 (Wednesday). Its really the very first time I am writing on someone else blog. It’s just a random comment that I suggested to Blue that he should included more things into his blog, perhaps something out of the box, and now i got myself into some deep shit.
Anyways, i still enjoy typing down my random thoughts that’s related to him, perhaps in the future be useful to you. You know what, during Uni days, our conversation didnt even last for more than an hour, projects aside. I start to think how much do i know bout Blue, other then he is sitting beside me sometimes during class. I think the very first time that I remember its just what he said to me when he is driving me back to school to hand in a project or something. I ask him, “arent u tired, i felt that your life is damn tired, just by the look of it, do u really enjoyed it???”. I was so shocked by his reply.
Well, anyways we have always tried to intro some new sports, hobby etc into his life. Perhaps just to tried out something new. So what havent u tried so far?
I am listening to this song called “The Last Goodbye” by James Morrison. I love his lyrics, have you ever thought of how many times can you tell someone you love goodbye? I tried telling that person goodbye for many times, yet when it’s the last time. The funny thing is the last and final goodbye is left unsaid.
Goodbye for today!

Standard Charter Marathon Finisher
On sunday, just ran the ultimate race in my life again. A challenging 42.195km marathon. This is my second marathon and I ran with Jack.
Even before that night we were like still doing our work before we went to sleep. Woke up late or rather at 4am, then dilly dally a bit… almost forgotten that we need to pick up Geng Hui from West Coast :P
Realized that it was quite late when it was like 4.40am and the race is starting at 5.30am and we’re still at Jurong West… Lol.
When I sat in the car, I had the ride of my life again since the drifting experience in Malaysia. We were going at 213km/h (which is the top speed), and managed to pick up Geng Hui at 4.50am at West Coast and then reach Capitol Centre carpark by 5am and park the car.
Just nice, we went to the starting line and immediately started the race.
Beforehand, we had already strategize on how to conquer this race without much training. We thought we had one of the most hilarious strategies though. We walked for the first 5km where everyone else was like running with their full energy. We walked like this was a walkathon rather than a marathon. LOL.
I guess we were almost to the last few before we started to jog towards our mid-point GOAL – PowerGel. Because we knew by then we should be “dead” by around 20-22km…so needed that extra boost of energy. Lucky me, I’ve gotten 1 more extra powergel. Hee :p
Well, we saw that champion kenyan runner ran past us. I was comparing his leg size to my arms and I was so surprised that my arms was actually bigger than his legs… :-0
Ok… fast forward all those parts where we drank our beloved cold but diluted 100plus… that tasted so heavenly under those conditions. Saw some super cars from Ferrari at the F1 Grandstand. Think they had some opening or something. It’s quite a distraction for me instead of worrying about how to complete the run when I was reaching 39km.
Endurance and perseverance had to be the key elements that I used to complete this challenging run. But the most sucky thing is that we were planning to hit Sub-6 hours and calculated even down right to the minute. And today when we checked our timing… we were like WTH…. I clocked 6 hours and 2 secs… 2 miserably seconds and Jack gotten even worse… he gotten 6 hours 1 sec. Really blasted!
But nevertheless, I’ve improved even though I didn’t trained much for this run. So I must say I’m really blessed and fortunate. Hee.
So sometimes, with the right strategy and with some training and hard work, you can still improve on something – a skill, expertise etc.
Below are just some of the photos which I took from the official standard charter site.

PowerSeraya Colleagues
Wow! Today is a great day for me. Suddenly a sense of happiness just came over me. I was busy taking photos with me and my great colleagues. It’s really been great working with them all these while.
Remembering that when I first joined this company, I only got to know Kristine then slowly I got to know our beloved Cat (Catherine) :p then Jen Sen and Foong.
Kristine is the one who always helped me with those monthly report figures and Cat too. Although Cat also brought in some of her great home made pastries, especially her brownies. Normally, I don’t really take brownies as they’re really too sweet for me but her’s was another story. You really have to try it then you will know I’m really experiencing. : )
Jen Sen and Foong are really two jokers who sometimes loves to make fun of us whenever we were gossiping or talking bad in front of them… hahaha :P
But they’re really great colleagues and friends. We helped each other, shared food, ate lunch together, talked crap and just have fun together, although there are still the normal gossips here and there.
They’re still a lovely bunch of people who have brought another sense of fulfilment and joy to my life. Hope I have brought to them at least some joy too :p since I’m leaving soon… start of next year 2 Jan. Sad… will definitely missed their laughter.

New Author Coming Aboard
Today I’m really happy because my great friend, Zoe commented about my blog. She said that my blog is really stressful and very business like. She then asked me to include some travels and entertainment into my blog. So I was thinking of maybe putting up some of my daily random thoughts.
But then there was an idea that shot up in my brain. Why not just invite her to become one of my contributors in my blog. So I just asked Zoe to be my author and she agreed readily.
After setting up with the user account for her, I was actually choosing the access levels between Author and Contributor and I found that as a Contributor, you will be quite limited as you will not be able to post your own posts.
So finally, I just gave her the Author rights and made her officially an Author of my blog. Hmm… but I’m not too sure about when she will be posting her first blog post though. Haha… I’ve gotten a really beautiful lady to post on my blog. Yay! :D
Now that’s Zoe below!

Resigning my first job
I’m in my future office now at Bugis, Parkview Square writing my resignation letter. Now I really know the feeling of writing a resignation letter. Plus, this is my first job and I’m already writing one in just seven months!
The feeling is just somewhat unreal. A bit of unsure as to how to properly pen the words to make it cordial and smoothen out the transition or rather the news. Hmm… but it’s really no surprise to my boss that I’m going to resign since I already told her that I’m going to leave by end dec.
Hey, I’ve already given her ample time in advance warning since Oct so she shouldn’t be surprised or anything. So even before today, I’ve already gotten a resignation template from my ex-colleague who resigned not too long ago. Talk about plagiarism when I was in my uni days, now at work I even have to copy a resignation letter. LOL.
So it wasn’t too hard for me to fill in the correct blanks and presto! A standard resignation letter which can be used now. Wow! I guess I can set up another website distributing these different templates including resignation letter. Haha :P That seems like a good idea :D Any takers?
Well, got it printed and signed and ready for the final date – 05 December 2008.
