3 Days of Work and I Had Lunch with MD & Chairman
Well, it has been 3 days since I started work and I must admit I really have a hard time trying not to fall asleep during working hours. The job that I picked does not really involve that much interaction as I would like it to be or rather maybe this is just the first week to settle into a new job. Maybe hell will break out soon enough…I don’t know though.
But anyway, I have learned quite a bit of stuff while being in a corporate like environment. Although my colleagues are friendly enough, they are like really immerse in their work and does not really interact that much though. Maybe it’s me or something but I just feel the desire to really talk with people.
Today was so interesting I should say because me and my supervisor went for lunch and our seats were taken incidently because both of us went to buy our lunch instead of one sitting down. Anyway, that’s not the gist of it. The main gist is that my supervisor sat down together with the MD and Chairman of our company and later told me about it. Although I had quite a bit of experiences sitting down with Directors and such so lucky on that, I was not a bit of nervous but rather treat them as really nice people.
So we chatted a bit and I reckon 3 days of work and I had lunch with the MD and Chairman of PowerSeraya, it’s almost as if that I had another round of interview with them. Haha. Well, it was a good experience nevertheless.
Today was also another eventful day as I attended a meeting with my supervisor and other department people and VP to review on the progress on a software that they are trying to create for the company from another company. But while during the presentation, the VP came up with many questions but I find his questions very relevant as he always targets the usability and the value that the software will bring to the company and how easy it is going to be to any user. I learned that he has a marketing background which sort of explains why his thought processes is somewhat like that.
Well, I did learn quite a bit of stuff today and hoping to enjoy the weekend tomorrow then.
